County Clerk Indicted On Felony Charges

SANDY HOOK, Ky. (AP) - A grand jury in northeastern Kentucky has indicted the Elliott County clerk on 19 charges.
The indictment returned Monday charges Reeda Ison with 15 counts
of abuse of public trust and 4 counts of theft by failure to make required disposition of funds. All are felony counts.
Grand jurors in Sandy Hook heard statements from James Ratliff of the state auditor's office.
After an audit released earlier this year, state Auditor Crit Luallen said evidence showed Ison overpaid herself, underreported her pay on W-2 forms and failed to cover roughly $50,000 in deficits over five years.
Ison didn't respond to a message The Independent left at her office on Tuesday.
It could not be immediately determined on Wednesday whether Ison
had an attorney.

If she is found guilty, before a trip to prison, she should be forced to work for minimum wage to repay everything that she stole as well as her regular bills. Then she would know how difficult it really is to be among the poor in Kentucky.

Now the Judge ought to give them time, that is a crime and get their back ground history (to you feds) and make sure you give them 2 years, its worse than counterfiet, now come on, or do they have money to get them out or do they no someone well to get them out. ITS NOT FAIR IF THEY GET HOME INCARCERATION.
