Firefighter's Home Destroyed In Overnight Fire

A Boyle County firefighter and his family are without a home after a fire late Thursday night.

The fire broke out on West Shelby Street in Junction City.

The family smelled smoke in the living room and the next thing they knew, the home was up in flames.

A fire station is across the street.

Firefighters say they arrived 30 seconds later and the home was fully engulfed in flames.

James White says he's been renovating the home for the past three years and estimates it was 90% complete.

Nobody was injured.
