UK Hoops team earns No. 2 seed in NCAA women's tournament

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The women's NCAA tournament selections have been announced, and the UK Hoops team has earned a No. 2 seed.

UK will play No. 15 seed Navy Sunday afternoon at 12:05 in Queens, N.Y. The game will air on ESPNU.

UK is the No. 2 seed in the Bridgeport Region. Connecticut is the No. 1 seed.

Baylor, Stanford, and Notre Dame received the other No. 1 seeds in the tournament, which begins Saturday.

If UK beats Navy, the Wildcats would play the winner of the game between No. 7 seed Dayton and No. 10 seed St. John's in the second round.
