Fundraiser For Murder Victim

Squires Pub was filled with friends and family of murder victim Mark Dunn Saturday.

They were raising money to try and increase a reward for information leading the arrest of the person who killed the Nicholasville man.

Mark Dunn was found shot to death inside his burned out pickup truck back in May. His family initially offered a reward of $2,000 dollars, but no one has come forward yet.

Saturday night, friends held a fundraiser at Squires Pub. It featured a raffle, kissing booth, bike show, auction, and one of Dunn's favorite pastimes, karaoke.

The event's organizers say they expected to raise the amount of the award significantly.

Donations to the Mark Dunn fund can be made at any Central Bank location.

We're told the family has now increased the reward to $3,000 thanks to the money raised at the event.

I miss you everyday. I said my good-byes god will do the rest. I think everyone just needs to let god do his work. All of this is silly. The name calling, the pointing fingers. I am celebrating my daughters first birthday in a few days. I KNOW my uncle is with her everyday. I don't want who did this to walk free. But its not us he/she has to worry about. Its god, judgement day will come. Our god knows who did this. He will let us know when the time is right. Patience will take it's own sweet time. Remember the good with the bad. It has either made you stronger or weaker. Let it make you stronger. Don't let the bad guys win. Mark is in a better place then all of us. He will meet us at the light. Don't worry my friends and family. God knows what he is doing. love angela.

Its about time the press and news media get behind this again...My BROTHER WAS MURDERED And alot of good people gave money and bought tshirts to support a reward fund. I think its time the local police and community come together to find a MURDERER thats still walking the streets free to kill again at his/her will. Theres too many unanswered questions and no answers for everyone to become comfortable and feel safe in that small town. Forget all the pettiness and he said/she said stuff, get over the hurt feelings and concentrate on finding who done this! What difference does it make who paid for what? MARK DUNN PAID WITH HIS LIFE, IT WAS HIS BLOOD THAT WAS SPILLED,Look at the picture at the top of this page he is DEAD,no longer here to speak for himself,so drop all the didrespect to HIS MEMORY...ITS ONLY ABOUT HIM and bringing a killer to justice. Again i thank all who gave with love...

I agree its sad when bad behaviour has to be rewarded for information about an injustice done to another human being. I just ask that anyone with info will come forward it can be done anomously and no one will ever know,Its the right thing to do and anyone with a conscience will do what ever is right to give this family some closure,we dont want or need to know who you are all we need is the information. If you have a heart and people that you love if you are reading this please, please make that phone call to the Kentucky state Police and help us...I BEG OF YOU TO GIVE MY BROTHERS SOUL PEACE!!!

The person who did this has no soul, no heart and no spine. He will start running talking sooner or later because he also has no brain and if he does, it is probably fried. It was demon who did this to your family, not a person. Good luck in finding Mark's killer. You and your family are in my prayers.

People are good. I have a wonderu lifetime committed group of family and friends who all want to see justice. I intend to keep his memory alive and his spirit strong!! The benefit was a great turn out all who love my husband. Its amazing how loved he is. He was a good man. The balloon release wuith attached notes in the circle of love was the most honorable and respectful thing I have even witnessed much less participated in. Again I am so blessed to have so much love and respect in my life. Mark gave us all much joy and will be forever in our hearts!!

It is a wonderful thing that friends and neighbors are getting together to help this grieving family raise reward money but it is a sad blight on our society that you have to offer a reward to get someone to come forward and do the right thing.

I would like to say how grateful I am for friends and family taking time for me, loving and supporting justice for Mark. Just being there last night made it awesome to keep his spirit strong and memory alive for a lifetime in his honor. The HUGE circle of love in the parking lot, holding hands and releasing the balloons with attached notes to heaven for Mark was the most amazing act of love I have ever witnessed. Just watching those balloons disappear into heaven was the most respectful and admirable act of love!! Mark we love you so much we are still standing by you baby, ALWAYS have and ALWAYS will!! Mark, Bobby and I sang for you last night "Faithfully" and we know you were there, it was ALL out of my undying love for you.
