Corbin Police Bust Local Man On Drug Charges

CORBIN, KY -- Corbin Police have jailed a local man on multiple drug-related charges, including trafficking near a school.

Police Chief Carson Mullins says 46-year old Richard C. Saylor was arrested Saturday after officers received a tip indicating he was allegedly dealing drugs around the Corbin Skate Park.

Police stopped Saylor for alleged DUI and while searching his car found what they describe as five different types of pills, drug paraphernalia such as needles, a crack pipe and straws they say had some sort of residue.

Saylor was lodged in the Whitley County Jail. K-9 Officer Corporal Glenn Taylor is continuing the investigation. Saylor has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug trafficking within 100 yards of a school.

The only State Park in the area is Cumberland Falls, and it isn't in Corbin.only claimed to be in Corbin. It is closer to Williamsburg.I think they meant skate park also.I have seen at least 3 drug deals at the Rootbeer Stand and I have quit going there. All by employees.

I think they meant "skate park" as there isn't a "Corbin State Park"...
