Winchester Launches Promotional Campaign

WINCHESTER, Ky. (AP) - A central Kentucky city is getting a promotion campaign.

Twenty-six Local businesses, Lexington television station WKYT-TV and a nonprofit organization called "Winchester First" have put together a television commercial to put Winchester on display across the commonwealth. The commercial will air in 48 counties on June 16.

Winchester First executive director Lara Thornbury said the idea had been discussed for years before finally putting it together.

The promotion is for the downtown businesses, trying to promote activity in our downtown. My business is Bluegrass Budokai. If you feel that there is nothing to do in Winchester, then we would love to have you join our classes in martial arts. You are welcome to come participate for two weeks absolutely free. We would love to have you with us, to prove there is ALOT going on at 26 North Main virtually every night of the week.

Don't forget to mention the drug and teen pregnancy problem, along with the excessive taxes. Also there is a church on every corner ready to take your money.

Good point Janice, the police in this community are so arrogant and disrespectful. I am surprised people still live in Winchester, I figure they would all be locked up by now!
