A difficult Father's Day for a Madison County family, after fire ripped through their home overnight. The flames broke out at the house on Raintree Drive in Richmond early Sunday morning. Within minutes the house was engulfed. Everyone was able to get out of the home safely.
The family told 27NEWSFIRST they're grateful no one was hurt and for the help from their neighbors. All day Sunday the family's neighbors helped them salvage what is left in the burnt home and clean up.
The family said they don't know where they will go now. The Red Cross is putting them up in a hotel for three nights.
The cause is still being investigated, but firefighters say a preliminary investigation shows an electrical problem may have caused the fire.
