KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A routine job turned dangerous for a southern Kentucky utility worker Friday.

Police say a homeowner fired shots at him while he was trying to turn off the water at a home in the Flat Lick community of Knox County.

Investigators say the worker was trying to serve a water shut off notice at the home.

He was not injured.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office arrested the homeowner, 41-year-old Gregory Lamb. He's been charged with wanton endangerment.
