Governor's Chief Of Staff Resigns

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Gov. Steve Beshear's chief of staff says
he will resign effective July 15 to pursue political consulting.

Jim Cauley had served as Beshear's campaign manager before
taking the job as his top assistant.

Beshear says Cauley will be "sorely missed."

The governor chose Adam Edelen as Cauley's replacement. Edelen
was an aide to former Gov. Paul Patton and has most recently served
as executive director of the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security.

Suppose he's going to go to work for his daddy in the PVA race in Pike County, again? That worked so well last time. Or, maybe he'll run another 527 committee like that one he was almost indicted for in Maryland.

Now if he could only get Gov. Beshear to resign and come work for him. I'd be glad to be a reference for anyone who would hire him away from office, especially if it were far away from Kentucky.

If either of these guys had to really work they would be up the creek. Sounds like a lot of jobs given out for favors, etc.
