Fort Campbell Soldier Killed In Iraq

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - The Army is investigating the non-combat death in Iraq of a 40-year-old soldier from Florida.
Sgt. 1st Class Gerard M. Reed died June 11 in Baghdad from injuries sustained in a non-combat related incident. He was
assigned to the 86th Combat Support Hospital at Fort Campbell, Ky.
Fort Campbell spokeswoman Cathy Gramling said the investigation
into his death would be handled by the Army's Criminal Investigation Command in Baghdad and no other details were available.
Reed, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., was a human resources specialist and joined the Army in November 1985 and arrived at Fort
Campbell in January 2001.
Reed is survived by wife, Twona, and son, Isaiah, of Clarksville, Tenn., and mother, Bobbie Ramsey, of Jacksonville Beach.

    My sympathy to the family. Another fatherless child for a questionable(I'm being nice here) war. I pray your child has every opportunity he deserves.
