Murder Suspect Asking For Separate Trial

One of two men accused of murdering a UK student is scheduled to be back in court Wednesday afternoon.

During a hearing, Adrian Benton is expected to ask the judge for a separate trial from co-defendant Raymond Wright.

Police say the men shot John Mattingly III during a robbery at his home on Wilson Street in May, 2006. Mattingly spent nearly a month in the hospital before he died.
