Rash of burglaries reported in Fleming County town

HILLSBORO, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are investigating a string of break-ins in a small Fleming County town.

The Fleming County Sheriff says since Wednesday, seven homes in Hillsboro have been broken into.

Police say the burglaries have happened during the day, while the homeowners are at work.

Police say the burglars stole money and electronics, among other things.

"We've been contacted by Montgomery County," Fleming County Sheriff Scotty Royse said. "They are working a rash of burglaries too, and we're trying to coordinate with those agencies to see if theirs have any connections to ours here in Fleming County."

Police say there are no suspects in this case.

However, the sheriff says police are looking for a small green pickup with Kentucky tags that might be connected.
