Boyle County road reopens after gas leak

BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A road near Danville has reopened after emergency crews were able to contain a gas leak.

The Boyle County Sheriff's Office says emergency crews shut down Alum Springs Cross Pike, which runs off Highway 34 near Danville, around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say Atoms Energy was called to the scene, and their crews were able to find the gas leak, and contain it.

As of 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, police say Alum Springs Cross Pike has been reopened, and all emergency units have cleared the scene.
