Police: Woman broke into Laurel County home to let dogs out

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say a woman accused of breaking into a southern Kentucky home gave them an unusual reason for doing it.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office arrested 47-year-old Regina Napier Friday afternoon.

Deputies say Napier used a blanket to break open a glass door of her neighbor's home on Chaney Ridge Road.

They say Napier told them she broke into the home to let some dogs out.

Deputies claim Napier was high on drugs at the time. They've charged her with burglary and public intoxication.
