Animal Control Officer Accused Of Driving Drunk Pleads Guilty

A Floyd County Animal Control Officer accused of driving drunk in his county vehicle while on the job pleads guilty.

Lacy David Shepherd pleaded guilty to several charges including driving under the influence.

Shepherd was arrested in February when Prestonsburg police officers say his truck was swerving all over the road.

Shepherd will not spend any time in jail but he was ordered to attend drug and alcohol classes and he lost his license for 90 days.

He also has to pay hundreds of dollars in fines.
