Coroner: Hiker fell to death at Red River Gorge

WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Investigators say they've found the body of a hiker who had been reported missing since Sunday afternoon.

The Wolfe County Deputy Coroner Gary Sparks says the body is of James Jackson, 27, of Pigeon, Michigan. Jackson was found around 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Land of Arches area, off Highway 715.

The coroner says the man had been hiking by himself, when he fell around 160 feet to his death.
