Two people, including child, injured in Rockcastle County crash

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (WKYT) - Two people, including a child, had to be rushed to the hospital Friday night after a crash in Rockcastle County.

The crash happened along U.S. 25 in Mount Vernon, near I-75.

Police say one car turned in front of the other, causing the crash.

One man said he heard what happened and rushed over to help.

"I turned around, and saw the cars basically sliding down the road together," witness Anthony Williams said. "And that's when the cars stopped. That's when I noticed the kid coming out of the car crying, and that's when I ran over there to see what happened."

Investigators say the injuries of the two people taken to the hospital do not appear to be life-threatening. The names of those injured have not been released.
