Somerset man dies after crash in restaurant parking lot

SOMERSET, Ky. (WKYT) - An elderly man has died after a crash in a restaurant parking lot.

The crash happened Wednesday afternoon outside the Cracker Barrel on Highway 27 in Somerset.

Police say 91-year-old Ottis Burton, of Somerset, was trying to back out of a parking space when his car hit another car.

Somerset Police say Burton then accelerated, causing him to hit two other parked cars and a retaining wall.

Burton was airlifted to a Tennessee hospital, but police say he died there Wednesday night.
