Group of 13 and 14 Year Olds Suspected In Robbery

A young teenager is in custody charged with robbing a Lexington pizza delivery driver early Wednesday with help from his friends.

Police were called to Florence Avenue near Georgetown Street just after midnight.

A Domino's Pizza delivery driver says a group of four kids approached the driver, took his money and a pizza.

Three of the teenagers are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

Police say they're all between 13 and 14 years old.

One of the teens had a handgun.

Police recovered the cash and pizza but haven't found the gun.

STOP with the blaming of the parents..not all parents are to blame..when the adults alowed God to be taken out of the schools and the disciplin stoped. what did you expect the young people to turn out like. as a parent we can only hope and pray we teach our children right from wrong and when they fill like getting into meaness they will..I fill if the teens wont to act like grown ups then treat them like it..make them stand trial. make them work for what they have done. and turn around and ask your community what kind of examples are you leaving for your youth..some people better start finding the lord..May God Bless You All..and a good old fashion spanking didnt hurt us..whats the difference..if we spare the rod we have spoiled the child...what are we to expect...

Looks like these little guys are getting a head start on a life of crime. Maybe they need to spend some time with some parents that can teach them right from wrong.

ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF PARENTS NOT CARING OR KNOWING WHERE THEIR CHILDREN ARE. THIS IS ANOTHER RESULT OF PARENTS LISTENING TO THE ACLU.

I agree that the teens should pay, but the parents should too. Teens will lie, and parents should know better than to put total trust in a teenager. Furthermore, the teens had to learn the behavior from somewhere. Our society is crumbling ethically. Maybe if parents are held more accountable then other parents may be a little more cautious in trusting their teens.

I have to agree with fnord and don't ask where the parents were. These kids have lied to their parents and got out and done this. They are old enough to know better so make them pay!!! If they don't pay now they will only get out and do worse things.

and I bet if one of the kids had gotten killed in their robbery, we'd see sobbing family and community leaders saying "he was a good kid...would give you the shirt off his back....such a good kid."
