Man injured in shooting at Pulaski County home

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - An investigation is underway into a shooting that left a man injured in Pulaski County.

The shooting happened early Sunday morning at a home on East Highway 70 near Somerset.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says a woman pulled into the driveway of a home after getting car sick.

Investigators say the woman told them her boyfriend, Christopher Foster, was then bitten by a dog that came outside the home. She says when Foster confronted the homeowners, he was shot.

However, the homeowners told police they shot Foster because they thought he was trying to steal from them, and he threatened to kill the dog.

Foster was treated and released from UK Hospital, according to police.

No charges have been filed, but police say the case will go to a grand jury for consideration.
