Police Looking For Man Accused Of Numerous Car Break-Ins

Police are searching for a man believed to be responsible for a series of car break-ins in northeastern Kentucky.

Officials say 28-year-old Joseph Barker has broken into numerous vehicles, stolen purses and backpacks, and used stolen credits cards before the victim can cancel the card or realize their card has been stolen.

He has been seen in a 1996 purple 2-door Grand Am but has more recently been seen in a small blue passenger car. Police say Barker often targets Speedway stores. Kentucky State Police also says they have several surveillance videos of Barker using these stolen credit cards.

Barker does have a history of criminal activity and should be considered dangerous. Authorities say he is listed as a wanted fugitive in three different states.

Barker is described as:

- 5’ 10”
- 170 pounds
- Brown eyes
- Brown hair
- 28 years old
- Has goatee and usually wears a white hat backwards.
- Has facial piercing.

Police agencies in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia are looking for Barker. Anyone who sees Joseph Barker is asked to contact their local police department.
