SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - UPDATE: Officials have canceled the AMBER Alert for Jaylynn Maxey. State police say was found safe and unharmed. Her father and suspect in a Bullitt County bank robbery, Joshua Yeager, has been taken to Hardin Hospital.
An AMBER Alert was issued Tuesday night for a 2-year-old Hart County girl police say was abducted by her father, who does not have custody.
The AMBER Alert has been issued for Jaylynn Maxey, who police say is black, 3'2'", 37 pounds, and has brown curly hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black and pink tank top with a swirled design, white sandals, and a pull-up. She could also be wearing a white and yellow polka-dot top with white pants that have ruffles.
Police say Jaylynn is with her father, 24-year-old Joshua Yeager. He's white, 6'1", 185 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. Police say Yeager has a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm, and a Chinese symbol on the left side of his neck. He was last seen wearing a green t-shirt with a logo over the breast, and green plaid shorts.
Police say Jaylynn was abducted in Louisville on Saturday. Her mother reported her missing then. Yeager was last seen Monday afternoon on Adams Shepherd Parkway in Shepherdsville. Police say Yeager is a suspect in a bank robbery in Shepherdsville Monday afternoon. Police believe the child is in danger. They are not sure what direction the two are traveling in, but they say Yeager possibly has family in Indiana.
On Tuesday night, police say they found a car police believe the two were in abandoned in Louisville.
