Rich Brooks Involved In Boating Accident

Quite a scare for University of Kentucky Head Coach Rich Brooks while on a fishing trip today in Oregon.

Brooks' fishing boat capsized in the McKenzie River near Eugene this morning. Brooks, his son Brady and a family friend Walter Barger were able to swim to a gravel bar and hold on until rescuers got to them.

The boat reportedly got caught up in a strong current and was pushed into a log channel which caused it tip over. All three are okay. None of them were wearing life jackets.

It's time to keep your feet planted firmly on the ground, Rich. Since you can't seemingly wear a life jacket you better stay on land!

Always use a lifesaving device, Who knows what mother-nature or the land will throw at you, on any Waterway. Thanks, to God they are alright.
