Kentucky Gas Tax Increase Goes Into Effect

Drivers in Kentucky are paying a penny and a half more per gallon to fill up.

This gas tax raise is the second increase so far in 2008.

The State adjusts the tax every three months based on average wholesale prices.

The tax on gasoline and diesel stands at nearly 23 cents a gallon now.

The Beast {Government} must eat. When we run out of money to pay taxes, and they, the (government} takes what we own, then when we have nothing left to be taken away...The only left to do is, sacrifice us to the TAX GODS.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the KY State government for their support during this time of energy crisis by kicking us while we are down by adding another tax increase on gas. Good Job!

This is just great like we aren't paying enough at the gas pumps now!!!! I think they shouldn't even add more tax money for us to pay the way it is going we are never going have a relief from the gas prices!!

A little tax is fine, it's the republicans inability to control the economy and gas prices is the problem. We as Kentuckians have a chance to assist in changing that in November---vote ALL of them out.
