KSP Celebrates 60th Anniversary

Tuesday marks a milestone for Kentucky State Police: the 60th anniversary of the agency.

The KSP was formed on July 1, 1948 by then Governor Earl Clements.

The F.B.I. and Indiana State helped train the first officers.

There were originally 147 members. Today, the agency has 16 posts and nearly 1,000 troopers.
