A rash of break-ins over the last few days has people living in Winchester concerned.

Winchester Police say more than 25 cars have been broken into since Friday, and the thieves are taking off with anything valuable inside.

So far, the break-ins have been concentrated around Holiday Drive, Lexington Avenue, and Dale Drive.

Police say each time, the crooks will break out the car windows, and take anything valuable inside.

So far, car stereos, stereo equipment, GPS systems, and purses have been taken.

Police are urging people who live in Winchester to be more watchful of their surroundings, and keep a close eye on their cars.

Police say they do have people of interest in this case, but they're still investigating.

Get the WPD to stop hanging out on main street all night and keep them away from the chevron and speedway looking for free food and young girls and start patroling the streets and residential areas things like this would not happen.

Purses were taken??? Who in their right freakin mind leaves their purse in a car? Oh yeah, idiots, that's who. Winchester is just one arm pit hair away from being like any of the other backwards towns in KY.

the reason they dont do any tng with them is the beeding hearts say they had a bad home life or they were abused when are they going to nail the thiefs to the wall with so many thefts we are going to take over and start guarding our things and take con trol of what happens to these criminals instead of codeling them

They won't do anything when they catch them. That's why so much of this goes on.
