Days after a Louisville man was hit by a car while walking along a Lexington road, we've learned he has died from his injuries.
Now, police are even more determined to track down the driver who they say is responsible for his death.
It happened just after ten on Sunday night as Anthony Gay walked along Walden Drive.
He spent three days fighting for his life at UK Medical Center, but he passed away on Wednesday morning.
Friends say he had just moved to Lexington and have no idea why he would have been out after dark.
The driver of the car that hit Gay left the scene. Police say the driver also hit two parked cars.
Neighbors say people often speed down Walden Drive where the speed limit is posted at 25 mph. Police don't know if speed played a role in the crash.
No one got a good look at the car that hit Gay and are asking for help from the public.
Crimestoppers is offering a one thousand dollar reward for information that leads to the arrest of the hit and run driver. You can call them at (859) 253-20-20. You don't have to give your name.
