Crackdown On Impaired Drivers/Boaters Over 4th of July

Kentucky Fish and Wildlife are teaming up with state police this Fourth of July, in hopes of keeping the holiday fun and not fatal.

Independence Day is known as the deadliest summer holiday.

Thursday morning, state agencies unveiled the Keep It Safe summer campaign. Officials hope to keep impaired boaters and drivers off Kentucky's waters and roads.

Kentucky ranks eighth in the nation for boating related fatalities, and last year the Fourth of July was the deadliest holiday travel weekend on state roadways.
