Kentucky Agencies Team Up To Keep Holiday Weekend Safe

Kentucky Fish and Wildlife are teaming up with Kentucky State Police this 4th of July in hopes of keeping the holiday fun and not fatal.

Independence Day is known as the deadliest summer holiday. Thursday morning, Kentucky agencies unveiled the Keep It Safe Summer campaign. Officials hope to keep impaired boaters and drivers off Kentucky’s waters and roads.

Kentucky ranks 8th in the nation for boating related fatalities. Last year, the 4th of July was the deadliest holiday travel weekend on Kentucky roadways.
