LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An investigation is underway into a crash that left a driver with serious injuries Monday.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Russell Cave Road, near Harden Lane.
Firefighters say the driver somehow lost control of his truck, ran off the road, and hit a tree and an embankment.
Firefighters say they had to cut the driver out of the truck.
Police say he was airlifted to UK Hospital, but his injuries are non-life threatening. His name has not been released.
Firefighters say he was the only person in the truck, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
