Two Arrested For Major Scrap Metal Theft

Brandon Miller and Kevin Day are in jail after police in Clark County say they tried to steal hundreds of pounds of scrap metal early Monday morning.

Someone called 911 after seeing some suspicious happenings at a road construction site on Four Mile Road near the Kentucky River.

Once Clark County Sheriff's deputies arrived, they pulled over a pickup truck.

Police say Miller and Day told deputies they worked at the construction site and had permission take the metals from the owner.

However, deputies say their story didn't check out and arrested them for theft.

The way I see, Being I know the real story. It was two young men. New to scraping!!And the steel was under dirt and very much old and rusted. They didn't know they were committing a crime. And excuse them for being young and stupid on the ways of this ridiculously judgemental world. You should watch what you comment about. When you don't know the real whole truth behind the scene. It's T.V. people they make out to worse than it actually is!! One of the young men was my younger brothers and he a Christian young man, whom has never been in trouble with the law. Because he trys to d the right things. It was a simple mistake and learning experience!! Stop Hating on what you don't know! Happy Holidays All!!

Quick, someone blame the police for not doing their jobs. If the cops were patrolling adequately the steely thieves would have not been coerced by their thieving inner demons to do the dastardly deed. Good, I blamed the police, everyone else please stand down.

This is just the sort of thing that hurts small business owners. These bums stealing from job sites will only hurt the economy more when contractors are forced out of business because of their greed and stupidity. As a business owner, I hope these two are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I agree with "What" in Richmond-if these guys like working late nights, plenty of factories are hiring for 3rd shift because most people don't like to work nights. Get a job, boys, and get a life.

I don't want to hear signs in Spanish, only that this is America and YOU learn ENglish!! If these boys were illegals, another reason why we should have state wide co-operation in 287g, with the police force, and lets see who is in our country.

2 rednecks in a truck in the middle of the night taking supplies from a construction site. Yeah they where working hard. Maybe if they actually wanted a job they could apply at a 3rd shift position since they obviously prefer night labor.
