Gas Prices Soar To $4.15

It's a new record Lexington drivers really didn't want to see.

Most gas stations around town are now selling a gallon of regular gas for more than four dollars.

It's actually around $4.15 a gallon at many places, a 25 cent jump from Sunday.

Gas has never been that expensive in Lexington before.

One employment agency we spoke to said they're seeing more people coming in looking for a second job, to help offset their gas expenses. Others are finding alternatives by riding motorcycles or buying smaller, more efficient vehicles.

The national average is now at $4.11 a gallon. That's also a new record.

If we would all set a date and start a boycott to not buy gas for about a week, someone would pay attention. After we get the attention of the fuel companies then they might help out by not hauling fuel.If we could get this together then 3days of no fuel being hauled would put this state at a stand still.Until we all stand together and fight back the big wigs just set back and laugh at our crying.

Rick, Americans build the Prius, not the Japanese.

keep whining if you all want to but it wont change its only goin to go on up, so save your breathe until it reaches $10 a gallon. get on the highways anytime and people still are goin just like gas prices are $.99 a gallon. if everyone would just stop working and line up in the food stamp line, maybe the government would start to do something about it. but as long as we're making them rich they're gonna rare back and keep smiling.

We all want gas prices to drop, but the reason it is so high is that we pay whatever they charge. That is what we must stop doing! If you want to drive an SUV, OK, but get an American-Made Hybrid, such as a Ford Escape Hybrid, or Chevy Tahoe Hybrid. Selling your SUV and getting a Toyota Prius is NOT the answer. All you do is put another American out of work, and help the Japanese! It doesn't help the country as a whole at all! What we all need to do is get back to true patriotism. Buy an American Electric Car or plug-in hybrid as soon as they are available. There are several available now, but very few people know about them. Let dealers know you are looking for one, because they won't think there is a market for them, and won't develop them. And an electric car runs on coal (in Kentucky), so there is no worries about being held hostage by foreigners. If 20% of Americans drive electric cars, more Americans will be working, there will be less pollution, and gas prices will drop!

How about Carpooling? I live in the same town as two otherp peole I work with and we had decided that if gas gets any higher we are going to carpool! Why aren't more people doing that, I passed a guy on the road with his "gas guzzler" this morning and I know he had room in there for probably 6 more people. As for us not being smart enough to elect leaders who will do something, everyone I know, myself included vote for the best possible candidate but when there are other people who cancel out your vote, it doesn't matter!

That job can't give!!!!! You can't get another one,if she sells her house it will be on the market for years, you can't trade a suv in because they won't give you anything for it....What do we do?? We vote in November and get rid of all the trash!!!Let's show them who is boss and get rid of everyone in November.Start all over!!!

Do your homework first ? Before you trade your current vehicle in in for a "SmartCar". Did you know they use Super Unleaded ? At those prices you may want a Chevy Malibu instead.
