Visitation, Funeral Arrangements Set For Eastern Kentucky Soldier

Visitation gets underway Thursday night for an eastern Kentucky soldier who died from injuries he sustained while fighting in Afghanistan.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports Army Specialist Estell Turner was wounded in late June from a roadside bomb.

Turner was serving as a motor transport operator with the Army's 101st Airborne Division.

Visitation begins at 6pm Thursday night at Watts Funeral Home in Breathitt County.

Turner's funeral is at 10am Friday morning.

Turner was 43 years old.

    My heart and prayers are with the family at the loss they are suffering, I have a son that is a spc in the national guard and he is in Afghanistan right now. God bless all the men that have fought and died in the war. I could not imagine if that were my son. I pray that the family finds there way.

    I pray that this family will have peace in thier hearts...he is in a way better place than we are and you all will be oin my thoughts and prayers. may god be with you during your time of loss. THANKS FOR EVERYONE WHO IS FIGHTING FOR OUR COUNTRY :)
