Truck Slams Into Lexington Home

Quite a surprise awaits a Lexington family when they return home from vacation.

A truck slammed into their home on Buckhorn Dr. near Alumni Dr. early Thursday morning.

Police say the driver of the Doge pickup truck was trying to get away from officers since he didn't have a license.

Police say the driver then ran off.

Officers set up a perimeter in the area to find him.

They finally found Richard T. Roberts, 28, walking near Summerhill Dr. near Kenesaw Dr.

Roberts is charged with wanton endangerment.

Police say he could face other charges.

No one was injured.

Code enforcement officials say the home is uninhabitable.
