A man who was beating a woman in a local park was stopped by a bystander. The good samaritan hit the attacker in the head with a baseball bat.

The man was reportedly beating the woman in Coolavin Park. The park was full of small children, women and others watching an adult league baseball.

Witnesses say a man began kicking, hitting, and stomping on a woman at the park. The fight became so violent that children and others nearby were being put in danger, according to witnesses. That's when one of the ballplayers came to the rescue and hit the attacker in the head with a bat.

The man was rushed to the hospital with serious head injuries. No charges have been filed against the injured man or the ballplayer.

I think if the guy with the bat gets sued, we should all help to pay for his defense.

Well, he almost got what he deserved. He should have kicked and stomped and then knocked out with the bat...

I think the ballplayer is is great that he didn't even think of himself getting sued, only of helping someone in trouble...I hope the lady is grateful and like the others I hope she stays away from the beater...A word to her, Stay away from him..been there, done doesn't ever change and you will be amazed at the peace you feel when you get away from the "beater".
