It's amazing what you can accomplish when, without a truly valid reason, you can pull over every vehicle on the road and search, question, and detain the occupants. I mean we live in a state where a helmet is optional when riding a motorcycle (I ride and always wear full protective gear..thats not the point) and we have a mandatory seatbelt law? Its common sense to use every protective device afforded to you when operating a vehicle of any type so should the state have to have laws governing this? Clearly this is just another inroad to violate a citizen's already severely restricted rights and secure some needed funds for the state by taking them away from its residents. ALSO....is anyone else offended that the ad campaign is a threat "Click It Or Ticket"...maybe I'm just being tired of being treated like a child when it comes to my own safety?
