The state says efforts to keep Kentucky's roads safe this summer resulted in thousands of arrests.
Police departments across the state took part in the "Click It Or Ticket" campaign.
The transportation cabinet says not only did they find a lot of people not wearing seat belts, they also caught fugitives and drunk drivers and even found stolen vehicles.
In all, police cited more than 20,000 people for not being buckled up, more than 1,500 people were arrested for drunk driving, 1,200 felony arrests were made and 1,500 drug arrests.
police say they also recovered 76 stolen vehicles and caught more than 1,300 fugitives.
