New Recovery Center For People Coping With Mental Illness

Monday we get a first look at a new recovery center for people coping with mental illness.

The Hazard ARH is hosting an open house for its new recovery center at the psychiatric center on Monday morning.

It's designed to help patients meet treatment goals.

The floor includes classrooms, a computer lab, and kitchen.

There's also a team of medical professionals to help patients along the way.

this will be another drug outlet that medicare will have to pay.many patients come to the hospital under the pretense of being sick just to get a drug fix.

Revus, I think you're talking about those who fake mental illness to draw checks...your strategy would probably work for them. But, the true mentally ill have some organic problem within their brains that can't be so easily treated. It does take medications for some people to simply be able to function at all. The true mentally ill are challenged with survival on a daily basis. I agree that those who fake illness of any kind should not be allowed to drain the system. It's telling them apart that calls for the pros!

are you all serious? most mental problems are cured by putting people to work, having them set goals and progress towards them. Also, eliminating a bunch of those anti-depressants and anxiety meds that are highly addictive
