Age Restrictions Changed For Amusement Park Operators

An accident that severed the feet of a teenager at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom led lawmakers to raise the age of people who run the rides.

Now operators at amusement parks must be older than 18.

14 year old Kaitlyn Lasitter's feet were cut off last year while she was riding the “Superman Tower of Power”.

The person operating the ride at the time was 16.
