Trial For Accused Cop Killer Wrapping Up Sooner Than Expected

The trial of an accused cop killer is wrapping up sooner than expected.

On Monday, Jamie Barnett's defense called a couple of witnesses, including the suspect's wife and then rested, and then court was adjourned for the day.

Closing arguments will take place Tuesday and then the jury will begin deliberating.

Barnett is accused of shooting Clay City Police Chief Randy Lacy in his cruiser last year. He could get the death penalty if convicted.

since the beginning i have had trouble believing that he shot the police chief can someone explain how a man in handcuffs can reach over a hard plastic shield to get a gun??? anyone that has been in a police car should think about this--just my opinion. he will be found guilty and sentence to death that i am sure but how did he do it?
