Police: Kids Found In Roach-Infested Home

Louisville Police say they made a disgusting discovery inside a home.

Police say they found four young children living in a roach-infested home.

The parents of the children remain in jail on charges including wanton endangerment for allegedly leaving their kids home alone.

After receiving an anonymous 911 call, police say they found the children, ages 5, 3, 2 and five months old, in filthy conditions.

Police say about 15 minutes later, the parents, John Campbell, 22, and Qywnasha Nicole Turner, 27, arrived at the house.

The children went to Kosair Children's Hospital for rashes.

They're now in the custody of child protective officials.

To John....I don't care how bad the economy is, my child would NEVER live like that. This is all about taking responsibility of our children and these individuals chose not to.

Those people dont need kids, or any other living thing for that matter. anyone who would let there children live in anything such as this needs professional help. i hope the state will not give those kids back to them people because children need to be in a stable home where they can live healthy. and as for leaving the kids by them selves shows how irresponsible the parents are i dont think they were ready to have children

John, How can you uphold people who let this happen to their children and call everyone here who has an opinion out like you did? Do you let your children stay home and live in dirty conditions and think it is ok? It is true that the economy is getting bad , I will give you that much , but you go on to say do not judge people and you are judging everyone here that said something about it. Sounds like you need to practice what you preach , and maybe you too shall dumpster dive for food and when you do , remember how you judged as well.

I think that people like this should have to be fixed FOR GOOD! This is disgusting! Those poor babies! I hope they don't give them back to the parents. You should have to take a test before you have children. I have a feeling there would be a lot of people failing!

My stepson was in very nasty living conditions such as this before my husband was granted custody. We tried to get Social Services in that county do do a check and we were told there was no crime or danger in being nasty! I'm glad to see someone is actually doing something!

roaches ae nasty for sure! butwhy didntthe landlord do something about them! it is the responsibilty of landlords to keep up with extermination of pests and rodents. Parents have a responsibility also. were they trying to work and couldnt afford day care? what is the whole story here? i feel for those childen they deserve better than that. also while i'm on this subject: why is it ok for the schools to have roaches and our children there? clean up your own houses before u judge others.
