Eastern Kentucky Hospital Is Ranked in The Top 100 Nationally

Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg in Floyd County received the honor.

The 2008 State of the Hospital Industry report ranked Highlands Regional in the top 100 nationally and called them a five star facility, putting them in the top 20 percent in the country.

The rankings are based on services provided, cost to patients, and community involvement.

    I can hardly believe it, my Dad just spent 17 days in Highlands and I thought they were starving him. Every time I was their he would eat good then I would get there at tray clean-up time and they would take whole trays of his food and throw it away.They weren't taking the time to feed him. This makes me angry and sick.

    there must be a top 10 and top 100 chart around every corner, Just doesn't make sense how these little hospitals with mediocre care can get ranked in anything like that unless there are a lot of top 100s.....
