Former Teacher Pleads Guilty To Helping Her Brother Rob Two Banks

A former teacher originally from Louisa accused of helping her brother rob two banks, pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday morning.

Melissa Brown pleaded guilty on two counts of aiding and abetting the robberies of Sentry Bank in Barboursville and City National in Charleston, West Virginia three months ago.

Brown told the judge she drove the getaway car when her brother entered the banks to steal money.

Melissa Brown's sentencing is scheduled for October 14th until then, she's allowed to live with her parents in Louisa.

Her brother's trial is scheduled for August 19th.
