Police Search For Inmate Who Left Work Detail

FREDONIA, Ky. (AP) - State police are looking for a prison inmate who escaped from a work detail in western Kentucky.
Police say 34-year-old James Ray Allgood left a minimum security
work detail in Lyon County on Thursday afternoon.
Police say they think Allgood stole a truck which had a handgun
inside. Police say they later found the truck, but the gun was missing.
Allgood was serving a 30-year sentence at the West Kentucky
Correctional Complex on convictions from Hardin and Breckinridge
counties for criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft by unlawful taking, burglary and receiving stolen property.
Allgood is described as a white male, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds. He has light brown hair, hazel eyes and faded tattoos on the back of his left hand.
Anyone with information is asked to called state police.

    C'mon guys! All these stories about escaped inmates and others that are being searched for and no photos! How are the public supposed to "be on the lookout for" if they have no idea what they look like?
