They've been working to fight crime and protect the public for sixty years.
Kentucky State Police are celebrating six decades of service, and Friday the London KSP post invited the public to mark the anniversary. People enjoyed a cookout, and officers sold tickets for their ongoing raffle for this mustang. Proceeds go to the trooper island program.
“We decided a picnic, some outdoors, and having our vehicles on display would be a good way for the public and our partners in the criminal justice community to come together and reflect on where we've been and look to see where we're going,” says Capt. Lisa Rudzinski, Kentucky State Police in London.
The London KSP post not only houses local crime fighting efforts, but also a K-9 unit, and it's the center of the state's marijuana eradication effort.
