Monticello Pharmacist Sentenced After Giving Out Pills

A well known Monticello pharmacist and former city council member is sentenced after pleading guilty in a federal drug case.

Dan Daffron gave out pain pills without a prescription and obtained painkillers for himself by fraud.

The Lexington Herald reports Daffron will serve six months in home detention and pay $30,000.

    My son sold 2 loraset and got 7 years in prison.This guy gets a pat on the back.Where is the justice in that or does money talk when it comes to the law or public officials.Totally unfair dont you think?

    I feel he should have to serve time in the pokey along with other drug offenders. He should not be given special treatment. Just proves money can help you out of a jam!!

    common practice amongst private practice pharmacies. Many trade pills for sex, etc. this guy is multi-millionaire. 30K is nothing, absolutely nothing.
