Johnson County Teens Help In Burglary Arrest

Some Johnson County teenagers are being credited for catching an alleged burglar Friday afternoon.

Sheriff's Deputies say 31 year old Gregory Hicks broke into a home in Van Lear and then ran away when a teenage girl came home. Deputies say two boys heard the girl's screams and chased Hicks, caught him and held him until officers arrived.

Investigators say Hicks stole almost $4,000 worth of jewelry and prescription pills from the home. Investigators believe he is responsible for other recent burglaries in Johnson County.

The 2 boys should have taught this guy a lesson before police arrived and he might have had a reason for the pain pills.
