Federal Grand Jury Indicts Man

A federal grand jury indicts a Perry County man on charges he tried to rob a Michigan drug dealer with the intent to distribute OxyContin in eastern Kentucky.

State police and the FBI raided this home in Airport Gardens in June and arrested Kevin M. Green.

The indictment says Green allegedly gave a Detroit drug dealer $40,000 to buy OxyContin pills to sell.

Court records say Green never got the pills, so he set out to rob the Michigan man in Detroit.

Green allegedly even offered to pay $20,000 to buy a police uniform to use in the robbery.

Green's attorney told us they cannot comment at this time.

He will be arraigned on July 31st in Pikeville Federal Court.

His attorney says they plan to enter a not guilty plea.
