No Indictments In Deadly Bus Crash Case

No one will face criminal charges in connection to a school bus crash that killed a 16-year-old boy.

That decision was handed down by a Pendleton County grand jury on Wednesday concerning a deadly crash 3 months ago.

16-year-old Daniel Wood died May first after a dump truck hit the school bus he was riding on, near Falmouth.

Police say the truck crossed the center line and hit the bus on Kentucky 22, which is a rural, winding road.

Police say the driver of the truck, Francisco Yulfo, did not have any drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of the crash.

The jury's decision not to indict Yulfo means he will not go to trial or face charges. However, the family of Daniel Wood is suing Yulfo in a civil suit. That means that the court could decide to make him pay hefty fines for his role in Wood's death.

Good, finally something sensible coming from the justice system. Peace be with the truck driver...he did nothing wrong. Just a tragic accident.

Bad enough that this happened but to try and charge this poor guy with something. Come on people, this guy has suffered enough.
