Glacier Girl Is Expected To Be Back In Middlesboro

A longtime fixture in one eastern Kentucky city is flying back into eastern Kentucky.

Glacier girl, the World War II P-38, is expected back in Middlesboro. The historic plane is on it's way to a Wisconsin air show, but will be in town until Friday.

While in town, the pilot will dedicate a new exhibit on the P-38 at the Bell County Historical Society Museum.

For years the P-38 was inside a glacier until a Middlesboro businessman rescued it, restored it, and flew it again.
