A senior citizen sits in jail in Jefferson County, charged with raping a four-year-old girl.

Louisville police arrested 73-year-old Charles Greve after the girl told her parents about the abuse. Police say Greve's daughter was baby-sitting the child at the time.

His son says he turned his father in after he admitted to the crime.

"I told him i didn't want to know him no more. T wanted him out of my house, out of my life, gone," said the son, who asked not to be identified. "If he goes to jail, that's his problem. I hope he rots in jail."

Police charged Greve with rape and sexual abuse.

Since the station did not print part 2... We all love the little girl this happened to and would NEVER intentionally have let this happen. As far as where my mother was at the time of this incident..she had a doctor appointment and that was the only reason she did not take the little girl with her. This little girl is just not someone a parent dropped off for the day she was like part of the family and my mother has been caring for her since she was an infant. She was part of the family and I know that she is devistated by what happened and sadened that she will never be able to watch her again.. You always see things like this happen on the news and it is always "someone elses" family never yours..well this time it was our family and this is something our family is going to have to deal with and we are ALL horrified and sick about what he has done. This is something unforgivable. Imagine what you would be feeling if it was your family. Nobody asked for this to happen.

Know this family is suffering just as we are suffering for this little girl and her family. I want to thank whomever it was that commented about my father. for him to be rationalizing all of this about his own father and to hear that it was brave for him to turn my grandfather in and to have someone praying for him helped a bit. My 15 year old son was very close to gradfather and is having a hard time reading all of this as well. We ALL want the answer of WHY my grandfather did this, we ALL want some type of closure. I do not know if anyone will ever get it so I just have to pray that both of our families involved can move on at some point and that we can help this little girl cope with what has happened to her. AND for my grandfather to pay for his actions of what he has done not only to one family but his own.

I know that I am putting myself out there by replying to this blog of comments but I need to get some things out too. I am the grandaughter of the man that committed this crime. This person helped raise me(I am now 37) and my two children as well as many other granchildren and great grandchildren. The things that I have been reading are just horrible and let me say that I agree with most of them but reading them does not make it any easier. My dad and mother are horrified about waht happened as well as myself and the rest of the family. Anyone that knows my grandfather is in shock because the person WE knowwould never do anything like this. The fact of the matter is he DID and I dont know how anyone in my family is going to get past this. It was a sick and twisted thing to do and I cannot tell you how ripped apart my family is right now. (part one)

My sister was done this way when she was 5 years old and this is SICK. But all he got was 2 years in jail and put on the SOR of Ky. Now what she got is a life time hurting from this. So who got the worst end of the deal? The gov lets pervert get by free and people that has been done this way have to pay for it. I think Ky needs to make better laws for nasty perverts like this. ALL of you been done this way are in my thoughts and prayers!! I'm sorry you have to pay when the perverts should. I have never been done this way but my sister has talked to me and I dont know how she feels but I do know that she HURTS everyday ( 27/7 365 days a year ) From what this man has done to her. ALL PERVERTS NEED TO BE LOCKED AWAY FOR LIFE KY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, STOP letting our kids get hurt.

Sexual predators are everywhere and there seems to be absolutely nothing you can do to stop them. You can follow the legal way, but the predator is smacked on the hand and told to go to treatment! However, the victim has a lifelong problem. Now, what's fair? The victim is REALLY the victim. I say lock the sexual perverts in a prison with NO chance of parole.

This is disgusting. Not a laughing matter by any means. As a victim myself, this is somethimg that you NEVER get over, no matter what the age. This scum deserves everthing that the law can throw at him. I personally beleive that child predators should be killed, no appeals, no waiting, automatic death. If criminals were punished quickly and not just put into jail (or should I say clubhouse) maybe our crime rates would go down.

I would say castrate him, but I'm sure it doesn't work too well at 73 anyways. And I would say execute him but he probably wishes for that since he's so old that he don't have much time left. So, I think they should take away his medications and let him suffer until he dies...then once a week cut his back with razor blades and then pour rubbing alcohol in his wounds to help speed along the process :) People like him don't deserve to breathe the same air as the rest of us, and death would be too good, so torture has to be the answer.

I say lock him up, throw away the key, tie a rope around his privates, and go by everyday and pull the rope just as hard as you can.

this is what makes the world a bad place- I hated men for years because this happened to me, put him away for good. and I feel if you are in jail, prison you should NOT have computers or air conditioners, life is to easy for a criminal.

This makes me sick- and he will be out doing it again. I was a victim @ age 7-in my 40's now- he is dead(good riddance to the scum bag) no one did any thing. I wish the laws were changed and they paid for what they do.

I think "Zatoichi" got it right. Now I seriously doubt that this was the first time this pervert has done this. After all, they don't live all their lives and then just decide to attack a child. I think it is done all thru their lives, from what I have read. I hope they investigate him and that everybody who has ever had kids anywhere near him, well, they had better be talking to them. Chances are greater than not that he has been at this for years. Sick. I hope he rots in jail, but he will probably be out in no time. He deserves the death penalty, but that won't happen.

This sounds bad and it is good on the son that he turned his dad in. This story doesn't say what exactly the man did to the child, I think ?? rape means penetrating her and that is most terrible and egregious if that is what he did. He should be locked up for the rest of his life, but what chance will he have to survive inside a prison? Seems that his son was trying to take care of him, what a shame on what seems to be a good son. I feel sorry for him and bad for the child and the child's family too.

This is for WKYT, are we suppose to feel sorry for this man cause you used the words "senior citizen". This monster needs to be locked up, and have the key thrown away, someone needs to really investigate this cause if he admitted to this then they are probably more children out there that have been assaulted by this monster.

For this person's son: just step back and let justice take its course...if your father is guilty of this, does he have some physical and/or mental health problems that attributed to his actions? I know this is hard for you as his son to stomach, and it should be...but remember that from all bad things God can bring some good. Just turn it over to your higher power, and don't carry all this burden by yourself. Jesus didn't want us to carry the burden...we have a higher power that can do that for us. You are to be so commended for your doing the right thing in reporting what your father allegedly did to this child. Know that God is in control even in this horrible situation. Let's all pray for God to work as He sees fit from now on.

This just goes to show that you CAN NOT trust anyone around your children. Sexual Preditors are lurking around every corner, I wonder how many children this man has abused in his 73 years, that haven't been reported.
